FACTS ABOUT THE EMERGENZA FESTIVAL
The biggest music festival in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark for upcoming bands!
THE RUNDOWN
All registered bands will be able to perform in some of their own country's best venues. The INTERNATIONAL FINAL, to be held in Germany at the TAUBERTAL OPEN-AIR FESTIVAL, will see Emergenza Festival regional winners playing alongside major international acts. At the Nordic Final in Stockholm, the best bass players and the best guitar players will be awarded customized MUSIC MAN and OLP instruments. In addition to this are SABIAN handmade cymbals and MAPEX PROSERIE drumsets that will be awarded to the best drummers. SENNHEISER wireless microphone systems, CRATE amps, KONIG & MAYER stands and hardware, TKL professional flight cases will also be awarded to the best bands and musicians.
FESTIVAL FORMAT
In Oslo, Bergen and Helsinki (see Swedish and Danish pages by clicking the flag at the top right corner of this page) the festival will be held in 3 steps. The festival will be held in the same format in Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Birmingham AL, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbia, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, El Paso, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, NY Brooklyn, NY Manhattan, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Antonio, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Tucson, Washington D.C., Wien, Antwerp, Brussels, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto, Vancouver, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Bordeaux, Lyon Marseille, Nancy, Paris, Toulouse, Berlin, Donaueschingen, Frankfurt, Göteborg, Hamburg, Hannover, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Koblenz, Köln, Leipzig, Malmö, Mannheim, Marburg, München, Nürnberg, Regensburg, Ruhrgebiet, Saarbrücken, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Trier, Ulm, Würzburg, Dublin, Milano, Padova, Roma, Torino, Treviso, Amsterdam, Tilburg, Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Valencia, Basel, Bern, Luzern, St Gallen, Zurich, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Budapest, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Tokyo!
Each band will play a 25 MINUTES SET. Technical support will be provided by EMERGENZA FESTIVAL.
The two winning bands of the Nordic Final as selected by a professional jury will represent the Nordic countries at the EMERGENZA FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL FINAL, to be held at the TAUBERTAL OPEN AIR FESTIVAL in Germany, in August 2009. FLIGHTS, MEALS, HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS and TECHNICAL SUPPORT for the bands shall be provided by EMERGENZA FESTIVAL. At the Final in each city, there will be many prizes awarded to the best musicians: MUSIC MAN and OLP instruments, CRATE amps, customized SABIAN cymbals, MAPEX drumsets, SENNHEISER wireless systems, KONIG & MAYER stands and hardware, and TKL professional flight cases.
The band who will win the 2009 EMERGENZA FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL FINAL will receive, as their prize, a fully sponsored and promoted SHOWCASE TOUR IN THE U.S.A..
The inscription fee guarantees the band's participation in the Elimination round of the Festival in their city. The participants will under no circumstances whatsoever be required to pay further inscription fees to the organization during the season they are participating in.
